Opponent intelligence for Kenyan campaigns
Every campaign keeps notes on its opponents. VotePulse turns those notes into a structured, sourced record — what each opponent promised, where they held rallies, who endorsed them — and sets it against your own campaign’s numbers.

Opponent research that the whole team can use
Opponent research usually lives in one person’s head or a WhatsApp thread full of screenshots. When the candidate needs a fact for a debate or an interview, nobody can find the source.
A structured record with a source for every entry makes the research usable — and keeps the campaign honest, because a claim without a source does not go in.
What Opponent intelligence does
-
Opponent profiles
One profile per named opponent, with their party and race.
-
Structured entries
Record rallies, promises, controversies, endorsements and fundraising as separate, dated entries.
-
A source for every entry
Each entry carries its source, so the team can check it before using it.
-
Head-to-head comparison
Compare an opponent’s recorded activity with your own campaign health score, donations and events.
-
News watchlist alerts
Add names to a watchlist and get alerts when they appear in the news sources VotePulse monitors.
How it works
-
Add opponents
Create a profile for each opponent in your race.
-
Log what you learn
Field teams and researchers add rallies, promises and endorsements with sources.
-
Watch the news
Watchlist alerts flag new coverage of the names you track.
-
Compare
Use the head-to-head view to see where you are ahead and where you are not.
What it does not do
We would rather you know the limits before you buy than discover them in the middle of a campaign.
- Every entry is entered by your campaign. VotePulse does not invent or estimate opponents’ numbers.
- The comparison uses your own real metrics against what you recorded about the opponent — it is not a poll.
Who uses it
- Research teams
- One sourced record instead of scattered screenshots.
- Candidates
- Verified facts for debates and interviews.
- Strategy leads
- A clear view of the competition, race by race.
Software, or software with our team

Frequently asked questions
Where does opponent data come from?
From your campaign. Researchers and field teams enter what they observe with a source. News watchlist alerts point to coverage, but the campaign decides what to record.
Is opponent research legal?
Researching opponents’ public statements, rallies, promises and endorsements is a normal part of campaigning. Campaigns must still respect the law on defamation, privacy and hate speech in what they publish.
